Nestled in the idyllic Cotswolds countryside, Barnsley House is a romantic retreat with storybook gardens and heritage architectural features - the perfect backdrop to your special celebration.
Our grounds offer a variety of one-of-a-kind locations for your ceremony, from the Temple, a beautiful place to propose as well as to marry or our gothic Summer House which is surrounded by swathes of cow parsley in the warmer months.
With 18 individually designed bedrooms, we have plenty of room for your guests to stay over and enjoy everything we have to offer - from spa treatments to clay pigeon shooting and garden tours. The Boot, which has an additional six bedrooms is just a short wander down the road and a favourite spot for an authentic Cotswolds pub experience with delicious food.

Your big day
We can host intimate gatherings or larger weddings of up to 150. But whether your gathering is big or small, we’ll work with you to create an entirely bespoke ceremony and celebration tailored to you.
The gardens and 17th-century house provide a truly special place for your big day. We’ll work with you to take advantage of every picturesque spot for your celebration and photographs - official and unofficial!
Our dreamy Rosemary Verey suite is a beautiful place to start the celebrations for your big day. With a conservatory bathed in natural light and ample space it's the perfect setting for bridal party preparations.
We can host ceremonies in our Cotswolds country gardens, or at the church next door. With your wedding breakfast being held in the Potager restaurant or within a beautiful bespoke marquee. You’ll feast on your favourite dishes with a custom menu created for you by our Executive Chef John Jewell before you party until the small hours with your loved ones.
